Wet ‘n Wild: The world’s original waterpark

12/05/2011

The crowds have never stopped pouring into Wet ‘n Wild since it opened as the world’s first modern waterpark. Decades later, Wet ‘n Wild continues to thrill families from all over the world with water rides that set the standard for thrills and excitement.

Here, families find a wide variety of waterpark adventure they can share together with more multi-passenger rides than any other waterpark around. Share the rush in rides ranging from mild to wild. For an intense rush, climb aboard the Brain WashTM, a four-person, five-story mind-altering ride in the dark. Or, find thrills amid the bright lights of Disco H2OTM, a giant, undulating nightclub with groovy tunes and dancing lights for four. Or launch into The Black HoleTM: The Next Generation, a deep space adventure that’s light years from ordinary. Scaled-down versions and of our most popular attractions and wading pools are available in the spacious Kids’ Park, with a gigantic bucket of water that splashes into a pool below every few minutes.

Or guests can step out on their own on solo rides like the “Bomb Bay” where the floor drops out from under you, plunging you into a nearly vertical free fall. Challenge your buddies on the steepest slides or relax with family on gentle pools like the Lazy River. The largest pool, Surf Lagoon, has a gentle, sloped entry that gets deeper and generates a series of four-foot waves, just like the ocean.

Take a cocktail break in the Wild Tiki Lounge, our fully covered, open-air Polynesian restaurant and bar with an outstanding menu, attentive wait-service, full bar and flat-screen TV’s. Or, relax in a cabana set in a lush, tropical oasis on an island surrounded by the Lazy River. Each cabana includes a refrigerator with your choice of three Coca-Cola products per guest, towels, a lockbox, table, chair and loungers and 20% off merchandise at the Breakers Beach Shop.

When you visit Wet ‘n Wild Orlando, you’ll see why it was named one of America’s most extreme waterparks by the Travel Channel. The park is open year-round, with all pools heated in the cooler months.
